Graduate Fashion Week!

This is a bit of a different post for me...

On Sunday I headed to London and went to Graduate Fashion Week with Emilie and Zoe (Street To Style). Well, firstly I headed to Oxford Street by myself, Emilie and Zoe were already in London so I was meeting them a bit later. I have now realised that going to Oxford Street before 12 on a Sunday is a stupid idea as nothing is open. Office was one of the only places open and it was packed. Eventually places did open so I did get to have a bit of a look and Emilie joined me when I was in Miss Selfridge but I didn't buy anything. Then we went to Camden and had a look round the market, I bought a belly bar and that was my only proper purchase of the day. Eventually we met Zoe and headed to Earl's Court 2, the venue for the exhibition and show!

I seem to have my neck at a weird angle but this is the only photo I have of my outfit from the day!
Blazer - New Look, Dress - ASOS, Shoes - New Look, Sunglasses - Next.

I'm a little confused by exactly what the exhibition was for, it basically looked like a higher education fair for Textiles/Clothes Design at the Universities. It was alright though and we looked around, got a few freebies and such. We saw the Edinburgh University Catwalk and it was interesting to see exactly what they created! Some of the pieces were really quite out there and odd but some were lovely items (that you could actually wear and not look like an idiot walking down the street).

I enjoyed the experience, I've been to professional catwalks before as I have been to Clothes Show Live (but that was a long time ago - during my Textiles GCSE) and I tried to take some photos, some of which have come out a lot better than others! Unfortunately I didn't have time to sort out my cameras settings once the lighting came on and the show begun and I did have a go at sorting it out but I gave up because I wanted to watch the show and not look at my camera!

Anyway, enough of me talking, here are some pictures that I took!!
I love the outfit on the left especially - I think it was one of my favourites, I the  bit in between the sparkly diamantes was cut out and so it was partly backless and just really nice.

I really enjoyed the day it totally reminded me of my GCSE Textiles (but obviously the outfits were a million times better made).

Now just as a side note on how this sort of catwalk fashion can be weird...
Since when did wearing hair extensions in your mouth become an accessory?!
